Islip’s Commack Road Elementary School recently hosted its annual Night of Giving, gathering generous donations of food and gifts from students and their families. The PTA-sponsored event resulted in the creation for more than 20 baskets, delivered personally to local families in need by Principal James Cameron and substitute school social worker Kathryn Dranoff.
“The holiday season can be an extremely stressful time for families,” said Dranoff. “With the help from the CRES family, we were able to help make the holidays a little easier with the baskets.”
